Nikon launches Nikkor Z DX 18-140mm f / 3.5-6.3 VR all-in-one zoom

Nikon has announced a versatile all-in-one zoom for its DX-format (APS-C) mirrorless cameras, the Nikkor Z DX 18-140mm f / 3.5-6.3 VR. Designed for use on cameras such as the Nikon Z 50 and Z fc, it offers an equivalent focal length range of 27-210mm. It should also be handy for close-ups, thanks to a minimum focusing distance that ranges from 8 inches at wide angle to 40 cm at telephoto.

Considered “the ideal travel companion”, its dust and splash resistant barrel is 90mm long and weighs only 315g. It has optical stabilization that promises up to 5 stops of shake reduction for sharper photos without a tripod, and uses 62mm filters. Nikon says it’s equally well suited for still shooting and video shooting, with fast and quiet autofocus.

The Nikkor Z DX 18-140mm f / 3.5-6.3 VR is expected to go on sale in early November for £ 599, and is the 21st lens to join the Z-Mount lens line.
