India launches fighter jets and anti-tank missiles at “ARMY-2021” in Moscow

India presented its native-built fighter plane at the International Military-Technical Forum “Army-2021” in Moscow.

Moscow [Russia], Aug 23 (ANI): India presented its LCA Tejas fighter jet, guided anti-tank missiles and locally built Arjun Main Battle Tank (MK1A) at the International Military-Technical Forum “ARMY-2021” in the region of Moscow.

“In Army 2021, we participate to present our export products some of which are LCA Tejas, Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AEW & C), 8x-gun which has the longest range of about 48 kilometers, Arjun Tank mark 1A, Helina and Nag, Survellience Radar Rohini and Fire control radar. We also display the Akash missile. Carbine JVPC is also on display, “said Dr NK Arya, Director of Public Interface Directorate (DPI) at DRDO.

He further clarified that India has enormous potential in terms of exporting defense systems.

“India’s defense exports have huge growth potential. We have just started. DRDO being a developer of most native systems and it is recognized that DRDO should introduce various products and systems to the world. that this step will go a long way in advancing Indian exports, ”says Arya.

Speaking about DRDO’s target in “ARMY-2021”, Arya said, “A lot of people don’t know that India can export such defense systems and awareness will be created. Hopefully some agreements can be launched on this basis, as in the past This will be the definitive start of the new deal and the presentation of the product to raise awareness.

DRDO, the R&D branch of the Ministry of Defense, participates in the International Military-Technical Forum “ARMY-2021” in Kubinka, Moscow, from August 22 to 28.

DRDO is the part of India Pavilion where advanced defense technologies and systems will be exhibited with Indian Defense Industries namely Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), Ordnance Factories and Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) etc.

DRDO develops numerous advanced technologies and systems in the fields of missiles, light combat aircraft, multi-channel rocket launchers, main battle tanks, radars, missile-based air defense systems, naval systems and products related to life sciences.

The 11 DRDO products that can be exported are on display at the India pavilion during the event, such as Beyond Visual Range Air to Air Missile (BVRAAM) ‘ASTRA’, Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) -NAG and HELINA, Surface to Air Missile (SAM) ‘Akash’, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) -Tejas, Airborne Warning and Control System (AEW & C), Friend and Foe Identification (IFF), Advanced Gun System towed artillery (ATAGS).

This list also includes Joint Protection Rifle (JVPC), Arjun Main Battle Tank (MK1A), Rohini Radar, and Air Defense Fire Control Radar (ADFCR) -Atulya Radar. (ANI)
