The Central Washington State Fair (CWSF) kicks off this Friday 9/24/21. The 2020 edition has been canceled by the coronavirus pandemic, so there is a lot of excitement and anticipation surrounding the return of the Sunfair parade and fair. This year’s fair is marked by new foods, new activities, many old favorites and … COVID protocols!
To be clear, CWSF President and CEO Kathy Kramer says masks will be mandatory, but that’s not the idea of ââthe Fair. The state has set the rules and the Fair is obligated to follow them, so the Fair will provide masks at all entrances and will also have a team of goodwill ambassadors of the masks roaming the grounds with sweet reminders for all of us to wear these masks.
What’s in store?
So you decide to hide yourself and go, what are you going to find? Let’s start with ways to save money! On opening day, September 24, you’ll find free parking and three-dollar admission until 4 p.m.
Kids also take a break when on Monday, September 27, they get fair entry and unlimited rides for thirty-five dollars. On Tuesday, September 28, age has its privileges as Seniors enter for the reduced price of just nine dollars. We love and support the military and the fair, too, so the military and veterans also get nine dollars on Tuesday.
Wednesday September 29 saves you money when you help others with a three dollar entree when you bring three or more non-perishable foods and September 30 is four dollars on Thursday
It’s all in the food!
When you ask most people what their favorite thing about the fair is, the most common answer is the food! New foods include churros, fried buns – egg buns filled with everything sweet and savory you can imagine and for the nut lover in all of us, a delicious vendor of roasted and glazed nuts. .
